I’m still numb with shock – my heart goes out to Gary and my thoughts and prayers are with Gary and their family.
My thoughts are also with the myriads of people and groups who have been touched by Joan’s incredible knowledge and support with both local and family history.

The tears are many as we come to terms about what has happened here. I do take comfort in knowing she was not left to be dependent on others, she remained vibrant to the very end. She never appeared sick and looked like she would live on forever, and so she will in the fond memories of all who had any contact with her. Rest in everlasting peace Joan.
